JK 2016Yorkshire, 25-28 March
The 2016 Jan Kjellström Festival of Orienteering offered 4 contrasting events in various parts of Yorkshire, and over 40 ESOC members were there, with some excellent results. Although the weather was mixed, the organisation was very good and everyone enjoyed the weekend.

There was a sizeable ESOC contingent at the first event of the 2016 Scottish Orienteering League, presented by Roxburgh Reivers.
SoSOL4, 2016Lothian Edge, 28 February
The third event in this season’s South of Scotland Orienteering League unfortunately had to be postponed due to bad weather, but the fourth event, organised by ELO, enjoyed glorious conditions in the Lammermuirs, with a good turnout from ESOC.
British Night Championships 2016Cademan and Thringstone Woods, 27 February
Just a few ESOC members travelled to the Midlands for this event - congratulations to Claire Ward, who retained the Women’s Champion trophy.
Scottish Sprint Championships 2016South Queensferry, Sunday 7 February
The Prologue of this year’s ESOC Sprint was also the Scottish Sprint Championships, and the whole event was the second in the 2016 Scottish Orienteering Urban league. ESOC members had some excellent results.
Scottish Night Championships 2016North Pentland Hills, Saturday 6 February
The 2016 Scottish Night Championships were organised by ESOC, and there was a fair turnout of ESOC competitors, with winners in several classes.
STAG Winter Score 4, 2016Faskally, 31 January
There were wintry conditions again at STAG’s final winter score, with lovely scenery – some ESOC members travelled north for this enjoyable event.

There was a huge turnout from ESOC for Edinburgh University Orienteering Club’s Big Weekend, with some excellent results in all 3 events.

East Lothian Orienteers hold a Christmas score event each year, always with an ingenious twist. This year’s event was well-attended, with a large contingent from ESOC.

Scottish Score Championships 2015Pitmedden Forest, 22 November
There was a fair turnout from ESOC for the Scottish Score Championships this year, with several trophy winners, and ESOC won the Large Clubs category of the Scottish Inter-Club Championships.
