Large city park with open ground, mature trees and a pond
Inverleith Park lies north of the city centre and is one of Edinburgh's largest open green spaces. It has good views across the city centre to the Castle. The terrain is mainly grass parkland, crossed by tarmac paths lined with mature trees. It includes sports pitches, a play area, and a boating pond. There are many ducks and swans on the pond, and at the west end there is a marsh area with a wooden boardwalk providing access to view the flora and fauna, and an interpretation board.
Used for training events and introductory events.
